Hired an attorney to walk me through the probate process. He's getting the work done, but extremely LIGHT on keeping me in the loop. Once the Letters of Admin have been filed with the court, is there a good reason to keep them on? I feel confident in filling out the paperwork for the sale of the house & in dealing with creditors. Trying to avoid being billed for remaining steps I could have, in hindsight, handled myself.
Secondly, does the estate account have to be opened at a physical branch in CA (tax purposes)? I live out of state. While I'm able to fly there to do so, if needed, would prefer to avoid it.
Thanks!
