I have a judgment against two investors who committed to purchase my commercial property, but failed to show up at closing. A month later they committed to a $50,000 payment for me to hold the property open for them, and failed to pay that amount as well. :no: Recently, my attorney and their attorney got one of them to commit (at the courthouse, in a hallway) to a $500 a month payment but he has failed to perform that as well. 
My attorney has gotten a court ordered discovery, and they failed to perform there as well, and now the attorney has filed contempt of court. :yes:
It's a judgment for $196K. I'm cash desperate right now, since I just lost a tenant who has also failed to perform (after losing his funeral home license).
I have to consider having someone buy the judgment in order to raise cash. Are there legitimate companies who do this? I may only get half the $196K, but it would be worth considering.
