I was approached by the genteman that had purchased some property behind me recently,he want's to know if i would consider selling him as easement. The piece of property i would consider boarders my property and another neighbors property line.At least this would not say,run through my property or split it.I was wondering, what would be the first steps to take leagally. My thought is,It should be done with a realestate attorney. It would have to be survayed as well.I am considering this.I feel he should pay the settlement fees, well any fees actually. Now if i do a easment on my property, will that piece remain a propertie tax obligation.Any advice ritht now would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Deb

That's very reasonable.

Now if i do a easment on my property, will that piece remain a propertie tax obligation.

That depends on the nature of the easement. Assuming the easement affects the market value of your property, it should result in tax savings, since your property tax is based on the value of the property. You should check with yoru tax assessor to make sure.
