My husband has spent five years developing a recipe for a fish food that is unlike any others. Last year he decided to go into business (formed an LLC) with a couple who financed 50% of the cost of construction for the production equipment and has personally been producing the food by himself for a year with no compensation/profit.
They are now wishing to dissolve the LLC and want to buy the recipe from my husband. What should he ask and should he ask for a lump sum ending all association or a specific amount with royalties?
The recipe has been very successfull with product being sold across America and also in other countries.
Thank you.
