Hi
My ex partner and i bought a house 18 months ago. We took out an LTV of 115% for £115,000 over 30 years. We needed the extra money to renovate the house and also pay some of my exes debt (thinking we would be together forever i stupidly went along with it!a lesson well learnt!). This totalled to around £10,000 on his sole debt. He then asked me to marry him and 5 weeks later walked out on me to be with someone else. he said he did not want anything to do with the house. I tried to change the mortgage to be soley mine, however was not accepted although i can afford the monthly payments. I have proof of the money spent on his debt, however he has said he has no money and will not pay back any of it, he will also not pay anything towards the mortgage until it is sold.
Does anyone have any advice as to where i stand with this?
Thanks
