I recently built a home using money from an inheritance as a down payment. My fiance and I moved in together and now have a baby girl. The relationship is not working out and I want her to leave. Other than child support, does she have any legal right to my home? She does not pay, nor is she listed on the mortgage.

Thanks!

NO....

If she does not voluntarily agree to leave the home, you might have to go to court to evict her, however.

You should never allow anyone to live in your home.

I always pay for a hotel for my out of town guests.

We never allow anyone to stay in our home, because getting them out can be problematic.

While that's a good point, it's a little difficult to ask a fiance to stay in a hotel...

OP, you will have to go through the usual methods of eviction.

Asking a fiancé to stay in a hotel is a great deal easier than trying to get her out if your home while she's pregnant with your child and the fires of love have become the glowing embers of contempt!

Ah, but one doesn't usually know that one is going to fall out with one's pregnant fiancee until it's a little too late...
