My mother and father split nearly a year ago due to her alcoholism . She has no job and lives on welfare. Due to my younger brother, father as well as myself not being able to be around her, we left the house she is now living in. He is trying to sell the house but due to my mothers hostility towards him, she is resisting to sell the house, nor do anything about it. She hasn't paid one single bill, and it is all left to my father. We have over 10000 dollars in lawyer bills and nothing is being done, he is in serious debt due to her bills. my mother has a peacebond with my father making him unable to converse with her.
any ideas on what may help would be great , it is an awful and ridiculous situation causing my brother, father and myself to be very frustrated financially and emotionally.

thanks.

Your father should file for a legal separation or a divorce.

That way, the court would order who is to pay what.

The court would allow the home to be sold, and your mother ordered out of the home.

You need to speak with a lawyer about these solutions.

Otherwise, debts will continue to mount, damage to the home will continue, and things will get worse.

Have your dad see a lawyer today!!!

yes, he's been seeing a lawyer for nearly the past year, he doesn't do much. everyone seems to be on her side.

thanks .
