Settle Before Answering to A Summons

Hello.

As a Defendant:

Can a settlement agreement be arranged and signed by all parties with out answering/responding to a Served Summons? (or before the 21 days after service of such Summons?)

Sure if you can handle all the logistics. All they need to do is request a continuance and the court to grant it. Absent a compelling reason, I seriously doubt they will.
