So ive been working at this place for over 3 years now. and two days ago i was fired because i decided to sit down like adults with my boss and tell him what all his employees think. He and an employee on the same level as I and 9 other employees have been courting around. Which is fine except he pays her more, pays her under the table, lets her do whatever she wants. She is allowed to come in late because she has a child, but everyone else does also but we have to be on time..She breaks all the rules and its ok. Not to mention if we she has a slow day you can find them in a back room passing sexual favors to each other. Not to mention on busy days he will go out and order food for himself and her no thinking if anyone else is hungry.. he will make her food or get a chef from our resturant to make her food for free but if we get something small we better pay for it or we get firied for stealing.. and he has said before that he thinks women should serve there men.. he is from north korea where this acceptable..

We dont care if they date get married or whatever. but treat everyone the same when we are working. Its so bad customers notice the favoritism the first time they are there.
Something needs to be done for the employees that still work there...

You can probably salvage your job if you fight for it... but don't fight with him about it.

Contact the labor commissioner in your state and report that employees are being paid under the table, as well as any other violations you can think of.

Why would you want to work under the conditions you describe? Are you being paid under the table? Do you have a legal right to work in the USA?

Please, don't answer my questions, unless you are being paid legally and possess a legal right to work in this country. If everything is legal for and about you, RUN, do not walk; to your state labor board or the federal EEOC and report this cad. Those agencies will take it from there and a remedy will be forthcoming. If you can't answer my questions in the affirmative, resign and move on, because either way the feces will soon hit the fan!

oh no i was never paid under the table. and yes im a citizen of the US. i did i called immigration and the IRS. my ? is, is there anything the labor board can do for the favoritism?

If you reported that employees are being paid under the table to the state labor office then they will get to it. Hopefully you named names. Try not to come across as an angry ex employee... it might hurt your credibility in making the report.

As for the favoritism, your best bet regarding that is by trying to salvage your job through the HR office if you have one, or by taking the matter to the boss above the one that fired you.
