Arrest, Search, Seizure, Warrant Sheriffs Dept beating on door

First off, let me advise that I am 55 y/o, and have never even had a traffic ticket

I have, tho recently been divorced by my crackhed, psychotic wife who locked me out of our marital residence.
At the time she was under the care of a Psychiatrist, and a Drug Treatment Program

I since reside in another State

That said, the local Sheriffs Dept has been visiting my parents property every 3-4 weeks for the last 3 months.
I have not resided there for 26 years, although there is a vehicle stored there that was registered to me long ago

The ..Deputy who comes is incredibly aggressive, pounding on doors, and windows, jumping a fence in the back yard to pound on the back door.

This has absolutely terrified my 86 y/o mother, as she has no idea who it is, or what they want

She will not answer the door, due to having a bad experience with a previous robbery attempt,

The Deputy does not identify himself.
I am aware that it is the Sheriffs Dept due to a neighbor calling to see if my mother was OK

I have been receiving calls at roughly the same time from a " RESTRICTED" phone number, which leads me to belive the "visit" may be for my "benefit"

I paid an Attorney to look into this, but he was not able to find any info on a possible warrant within the purchased time ( 1 hour = $586.00 ) I was able to pay him for.

My questions are thus :

Firstly, is there a way for myself to determine if there is a warrant for my arrest ..?

Second .. if I am visiting my mother, what rights do I have in not answering the door .
I don't want to be charged with "resisting arrest", or some other funky catch-all

Thirdly.. is there a way to determine if they are looking to make me appear at a Court appearance ..??
My wife has an expensive attorney, actually the head of the local bar association, who has filed an incredible number of bullshit suits/motions/proceedings

Determining this is very important to me, as I can't afford a traffic stop , or a visit to Mom, turning into an arrest ..

I personally reside on a Farm now, and have to care for animals ..
Cows can't wait to get milked, or fed, or sheltered

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Perhaps a call to the sheriff's department or the courthouse. However, don't be surprised if no one will give out this info over the phone.

Is there a reason you might have a warrant?

You do not have to answer the door. But, if they have an arrest warrant and have reason to believe you are there, depending on the law in your state, they may be able to force entry to get you.

Same as above ... call the sheriff's department or the court. see if there has been a subpoena issued ... though you might have to call the DA's office for that, unless it is a civil matter.

Then, it may be court process and not a warrant.

Not to my knowledge,
however, seeing how the legal system has worked in my Divorce..
Anyone can make an Allegation ....

Thank You for your kind reply, Carl ..
I have read many of Your post's ...:coolio:

I like that Carl said it may be some kind of process server. Is it possible your Mother is being sued, and a collection agency is trying to reach you?

1 hour = $586.00

Yikes!

I don't know the town, but hiring a P.I. may be more effective. Many PIs are former cops, and as such, have an easier means of communication to find out what is going on. Wheras your attorney took your money then paid a paralegal to look things up on the computer, the PI may go and talk to some of the officers. . .
