I got caught shoplifting at "Supermarket name" in Massachusetts a few days ago. The total worth was $28 for vitamins. I got stopped by a guy who was an undercover for the store. The police weren't involved and I was let go, they took my picture and wrote down my contact info. I had to sign 2 white forms, one saying i'd be arrested if I ever stepped into another "Supermarket name", and another that had the amount i stole and my contact info, but i don't really remember much from those 15 minutes i was in there. I'm banned from the store forever. I left with a paper which i read as i stepped out of the store, it was a civil demand notice.
When will I get the fine?
What will the envelope be labeled as? (I don't want my roomate to see it incase he gets to the mail before I do)
Can I pay in installments instead of all at once?
Do I pay in checks? Is there any way the bank can keep the checks from going on my statement? My parents have access to my bank account.
How much can I expect to pay?
Will there be charges pressed? Am I going to court?
Will I be escorted by the police?
