I admit this was a dumb mistake. You can preach to me all you want now and even before this even happened but getting caught has really made me learn my lesson. I will never shoplift again. Here is what happened.
I took a few items from the store that totaled about 64$. The LP took me back to this room and I gave him my driver's license, address, phone number and social security number. They took a picture of me and I had to sign a document stating that I am not allowed in the entire mall for a year and they said they will send something to me saying I have to pay a fine. I think the police were called but I am not sure. Fortunately for me they didn't show up so they just had the security officer escort me out of the mall. This is my first time shoplifting. Now, will this be on my record? and for how long? Does anyone know what will be on the envelope when it shows up in the mail? How long will I have to pay it? I did this in the state of Pennsylvania. I consider myself extremely lucky since the cops weren't involved and I don't have to deal with court dates or anything. I am truly sorry and this has definitely been a lesson learned!
