I was caught shoplifting at a grocery market this past Tuesday. I stole some food items but mostly make-up.The total was less than $100 (I think it was a total of $70). They knew I was a repeat offender but were unable to catch me until then. I told them I probably stole less than $100 from the previous times and they told me that they would kind of help me out. First, I would pay the market for the previous times I stole and for that days incident. All I know is I will be paying $70 for that day's incident, but I don't know how much for the previous times as the corporate head will determine that. Secondly, the guy said he would just say this was my first time to the cops and that he would exclude the other times as long as I pay them that money and not lie in court (was not planning on lying in the first place as I am taking full responsibility for this mistake). I was really scared and the guy was kind of nice about it because he said I wasn't someone of trash decent and I was a smart looking person who just made one really big stupid mistake. Anyways, after all the talking to the security, settling the past incidents, and getting my picture taken along with what I stole that day, he called a cop and I was handcuffed and taken outside where I was issued a ticket summoning me to court on July 22. I was not jailed. My questions are:

Will this show up on my record?

What will most likely happen on my court date?

I have an immigration case (parent committed fraud and I was dragged into this due to the fact I am her child) and I was wondering how will this incident affect me? Will I be deported?

As for job prospects, will I never be hired?

For extra information, I am 21 years old. This is my first offense EVER (and last). And this occurred in California.

Will this show up on my record?
If convicted yes

What will most likely happen on my court date?
That depends on you and what you and your Attorney plan to do. My suggestion is discuss diversion with your Attorney

A theft conviction could cause your immigration statuts to change yes

As for job prospects, will I never be hired?
That depends on outcome of court case and the potential employers
