i know , i know i should of not done it in the first place, i regreat it soo much! specially because i wanted to apply for a new job, and im scared it will show on my records! :'( i have always been a good girl, great straight "A" student ,and a hard worker, i had never done such thing, always been as honest as i could, am actually already making arrangements with a counceler to figure out the cause of this unusual behavior.
to the point!
i was shopping at the mall, was looking for a dress for a sweet 16 party, i went to cheaper stores and could not find an elegant one, i went to sears , found this pretty dress, tried it on and loved it, price $70 dollars, plus $30 of some expandex that tuck my tummy in . i didnt have that much money in hand. an it didnt have a alarm sensor, so idk what took me to think it was okay to take it. i dont know what i was thinking. :'(
i got caught , taken to an office, charged with a retail theft, and have court on july 26. i need help im very scared! i dont know what to expect. im 18 years old. i wanted a new job, and im going back to college this semester, i dont want this enbarrasing thing in my record! will i be able to remove it ? will i go to jail ?
o yeah i got a letter where is says that i need to pay $200 to the store, will they remove the charges against me if i pay?
do i need an attorney ? public defender?
