Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft shoplifting from employer

We were caught on videotape stealing food from where I worked. We are broke and were desperate, doing so against our better judgement. I am willing to take the rap for both of us. Need advice.

I am a retail theft consultant and answer questions like yours daily. First off if they have video you wont be able to take sole blame. Next has your employer contacted Police or what? Until we know what has been done thus far we cant really answer

It's more likely you will lose your job. The employer may not want to bother with the hassle of seeking a criminal complaint.

Who is we? If they have evidence you both shoplifted, you can't take the blame for the other person. We need more details. What happened after you both were caught? What did your employer say and/or do?
