Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Shoplifting in califronia very scared

Hello my name is diana i was caught shoplifting 180 dlls from jc penny the police came and gave me 2 papers, one was my court citation and the other is a sheet to get finger printed and photographed before my court date. I from mexico i'm on vacation, i was supposed to leave tomorrow but now i'll have to stay here for my court date, i'm really scared i dont have the money to pay for an attorney i need to represent my own at court but i would like to know what to do??? What to expect??? Would i go to jail???? Is my first crime i'll accept i did it and i'm willing to pay the fine and do all the hours of community service im asigned but i dont want to go to jail please help me tell me what should i do i need to get this over with as fast i can because i need to go back to mexico i'm studyng there its my last semester of accounting i'm a straight a student would that help i dont know why i did it??? Please help
 
If you cannot afford an Attorney plead not guilty or stand mute and request a Public defender. You can also visit the link in my signature line. Th epeople there deal with shoplifitng issues everyday

i am a student i dont have a job i really cant afford an attorney so i would like to know what the consequences of going by myself would be??? if a plead guilty would i go to jail???? i'll pay the fine and i'll do as many hours of community service they give me but i dont want to go to jail please help me,what if a plead guilty and explain i'll never do it again

If you are from Mexico, returning to Mexico would be the easiest thing to do.

Heck, the police didn't even book you.

They have NO fingerprints of yours.

Now, why would you voluntarily submit your fingerprints and mugshot?

Getting back across that border is SO easy. :yes:

I agree with Army. Go home. If you ever return, don't go back to that state. You will be fine.
