Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft shoplifting in MAS

Hello, I need some help about the shoplifting. I just don't know where to go and ask. Well, it is an old story. It happend to me and to my 4 friends. In 2002 summer we came to USA to Massachussets state from one European country as a group of students on exchange programe. One day we went to Store name store and stole some merchindases for 750 usd. Finally we were cought and taken to the police. Our visa was almost over, we have to come back home soon. Our court procedure was delayed twice, so I did'nt wait for the punishment and went home. Now, my parents are planning to visit states and take me with them. I am wondering what can happen to me if I go there, is there any statement of limitation on such kind of crime?

Please help me, because I don't know what to do.

The statute of limitations does not apply as you avoided court. Its posible you could be held at border. You need to talk to a Lawyer before attempting to enter country

Could you explain the meaning of "holding at border"?
And what could happen to me if I enter MA or USA in common? Could I be arrested?

You had options available you chose to avoid court. There are consequences for this and since your case reached felony levels, I suspect an arrest at border is likely
