Please advise me on citizen rights wrongly accused of shoplifting. Grocery store. Stopped as i left the store by the manager, answered his questions correctly/honestly; the manager then proceeded to load my car with the groceries ( I never touched the groceries after they left the store. The manger said ok. I said thank you, I drove off. He proceeded to chase me car in the parking lot and pulled me over, asking me the same questions I previously answered correctly and honestly. He, the manager proceeded to bring me back in the store for hours and ask me the same questions. I answered the same. The police came and wrote me a ticket. How is this just???

Did you actually leave the store without paying for an item?

What was the ticket written for?

Duranie asks valid questions. If you don't provide us with full and complete information, it's impossible to comment. I tend to find that in such cases the police don't just write tickets or summonses without any reason. Can you give us insight as to the motivations for everyone acting the seemingly irrational way that they did?
