I was caught shoplifting and charged with felony theft. I was given a deferred sentence and have completed almost all the terms of the sentence which was for two years. I am still paying the fines and finishing the community service. My problem is yesterday I was caught shoplifting again but only $50.00. I have been suffering from depression and alot of stress. I don't know what made me do this. It was really stupid and I keep thinking about how I just wasn't thinking things through. I realize I have a problem and am planning on starting therapy immeidately. Is there any chance this will help not get my deferred sentence revoked? I am really serious about getting help.
Also, what would be my chances of getting this new charge dismissed? The security people got me before I even left the store. I had but the box in my stroller where it couldn't be seen. They said just hiding it was evidence of a crime. I didn't give them permission to search the stroller.
