You most likely will not go to jail. Do you have any prior arrests/convictions? What is the name of your state? Thanks.

As a follow-up to my post above, who told you that you would go to jail? If you were/are arrested & have to go to court, you will need a lawyer. If you can't afford one, the court will appoint one for you. The lawyer will go over possible outcomes with you. Plead not guilty.

I work in retail theft industry and help people like yourself all the time. Unless you have priors or something in incident to crime to felony levels your not going to jail. Talk to your attorney about your legal options ask about ACD or diversion
