I was caught shoplifting never been arrested before for anything police were called i was mirandised and put on the theft database i was never actually arrested just charged and summoned to court does that go on a criminal background check and also once in a retail theft database can other retailers that suspected you of stealing press charges

Yes, you were arrested, but not taken into custody.
Legally, if you're stopped for speeding and cited, you WERE arrested.

The answer s YES to ALL of your questions.
that will forever stain your pristine criminal reord, even if you get acquitted at trial.
Your information will forever be retained by the FBI in their database.

Sucks, I agree. So, never do that again.

Only retailers who subscribe to same database can view database. In addition you can possibly avoid a conviction record. Talk to your Attorney about ACD or Diversion as plea option

Once again ACD or Diversion does NOT mean charges ARE DROPPED! ACD or Diversion works like a conviction with fines, probation, community service etc. Except once you complete program your case is dismissed (not dropped). This means a typical CRB will find no convictions and you can safely say "no" if asked about any criminal convictions.

One more time. Your record will not show any conviction on this event if the ACD or Diversion program in your county works likes most
