I as caught shopligting.
The merchandise they said I took ws under 20 dollars worth of stuff. What happened was i was brought into a room with the LP officer and a manager from the store.
They asked me to give back the merchadise that they said I took, and i did. He asked me for my information, (since i forgot my id card in the car) i gave him my name address phone number ss number height and weight. He then ran it through his computer system and saw that my record was clean. He then expained to me that since this is my first offense he is going to let me go. There were no police involved or called the time of the crime nor was a report given to the police. I then was asked to sign a paper stating that i cannot go back to their or any store that they owned or i will be arrested for trespassing. I signed the paper, the LP Officer walked me to the door and told me to never come back.
My question is what is going to happen to me? Will i get a fine in the mail and just have to pay it and that is the end of this. Or will i have to go to court and is this on my record now that i was caught? I will not be arrested for this will i since i was not arrested on the day of the crime and it was not reported to the police and they were not called to the scene? i am very nervous and dont know what to expect please help!!!
