i am really ashamed but i need help.
i am looking for a nursing job but three years i was arrested for shoplifting wowrth $250 , charged with misdamenor . the case was term " nolle proscequi", so i am wondering if the company has a right to deny me employement

Yes they do be a shoplifter does not place you in a protected class. Long as the company is not hiring you due to your race, religion, sex etc they can refuse to hire anyone

thanks for the reply, i also had on the verdict "not eligible for expungement" , i confused, what can i do to get this off my record so that i can look for a job.

nolle prosequi means that you have no conviction.

That does not mean that it is not a public record.

And, as pointed out, the company does not have to hire you.
