On May 31 my sister decided to go shopping with a friend and her sister. They went into Mervyns. Upon leaving, an employee (or security guard, I'm not completely sure) went up to my sister and told her to come with him. He told my sister's friend and her sister to leave. While in the office, the employee took out 5 shirts apparently totaling $100. He told my sister to call her parents. His reason to search my sister was because the tote she was carrying was apparently more fuller than what she entered with. He never showed my mother the items she apparently stole. Now, my question is should have the employee confiscated my sister's friend and her sister? I am pretty sure Mervyns has cameras all around the store. My sister claims she did NOT steal anything and there may be possibilities that the other two had used my sister because there were times that my sister had them hold her bag for a certain period of time like using the restroom. I do not believe my sister's friend did it, but her sister because she had previous shoplifting charges. When my mom tried contacting the two's parents about what had happened, my sister's friend picked up and she just hung up. We recently received a letter asking to pay $295.00 from Olonoff Asen & Serebro, LLP
