i was in wallmart the other day and got distracted and walked out wiwthout paying for my things. i was pulled over by the manager and asked to sit in the security roo. I was scared to death. this had never happened to me before. they called the police and they can and wrote me a ticket for shoplifting. my purchase was under $100.00. what is going to happen when i go to court in feb? can i go ahead and buy the store for the items? help. sleepless in ga.

Its too late to pay for items they have already gave case to Police and you have court date. You need a Lawyer. You should ask this Lawyer about Diversion if your County has such a program. I also suggest you enroll, before court, into an Anti Shoplifting program. Judges will smile on your efforts to right wrong before court and may likely grant Diversion or lesser sentence.
