After injuring myself on xmas eve, i returned to work to file my claims for short term disability.

My employer next day'ed my forms to corporate, and they "misplaced" them.

Instead of calling me to inform me, waited 4 weeks til I called them, and i sent them another set last week.

After calling and E-mailing my ins carriers, seems they have still not been sent to the proper offices.

nNow, long story short, bills are even further behind after my live in g/f was hospitalized for 2 weeks.

Im wondering if there may be a case for negligence on some level to handle some of the late fees, damages to my credit, etc?

I see no action in negligence against your employer for you to pay your bills.

Its not for paying MY bills, its the negligence of their action in expedience of their duty to send said paperwork to the proper offices.

Thanks.

You're welcome.

I gave you my legal opinion.

If you disagree, hire a lawyer and ask him/her.

Its not a disagreement, and I can see you arent a very friendly person so Ill refrain from replying to you from now on.

This is a FREE LEGAL ADVICE forum, not a GO HIRE A LAWYER forum.

Im not looking for anything past what is due me, I pay insurance premiums each week, and have incurred extra bills and fees from their negligence, not mine.

All I wish to recover.

People like you are why the law is hated.
