Should I contest a traffic violation

I was cited for going through a left turn arrow/red light. The alleged violation was video taped by camera, but was obscured by a truck in the adjacent lane. After reviewing the video 15-20 times, it is my opinion that I was already in the intersection when the light turned red; however, it could not be established conclusively because the truck blocked the view of the front of the vehicle. The law enforcement person reviewing the tape to establish the validity of a volation could not see the front of my vehicle relative to the white line which establishes a violation. Since this is clearly a judgment call, shouldn't the tie go to the runner ? Since I am a retired member of the U.S. military with a 30 year record of following rules and a 60 year driving record without a similar violation, does my defense seem reasonable to contest this citation ?

They don't care about anything, even if you were Jesus, Mohammad, an angel, or even Satan.

They simply want your money, and will say or do anything to get your money.

The smart bet, the easy bet is to do one of two choices:

1) Traffic school, and you can even do that online. Its also the cheapest way out of this.
2) Appear in court, and if permitted in your state (I think FL allows it), request deferred adjudication. Its essentially like unsupervised probation, and lasts about 90 days. You avoid getting any more traffic citations during the 90 day period, pay them some tribute (always about stealing YOUR money), and the entire thing gets wiped away on the 91st day or so.

Fight a traffic ticket, yeah, hire a lawyer for $500 or $1,000, maybe.

Do it yourself, they've got you made before you walk into their scamroom.

Do yourself a favor, traffic school or deferred adjudication, easy, so easy a cave man or cave woman could do it!
