I am moving into a new house with 3 other tenants. They already live there, and have signed a lease with the landlord.
I requested to see the lease, but they are saying it is not a good idea to add me to the lease because the landlord can be difficult and crazy.
I am concerned that if I move in and the landlord finds out that I live there without having told her, or signed a lease, I will be fined or kicked out, since I have nothing to prove that I'm not a squatter.
What does the law say about this?
Should I trust my friends and move in without signing a lease?
