Shower needs to be repaired. The wall covering is torn and the water has molded the inside of the wall and is eating the frame of the window. My boyfriend is a licensed contractor and has offered to get the mold out and redo the shower with Tile and new fixtures in exchange for 2 months of free rent. The owener doesn't want any part of that idea for some reason. He sent in another contractor to JUST REPLACE the plastic wall coverning. The contractor turned the job down because he said if he did the job incorrectly it would make him look bad. So now the owener has sent in 3 unlicensed contractors to do the job and they are saying that its going to take 3 or more days to repair the shower. I will be without a shower/bathtub. My question is, is it the owners obligation because I am without a shower/bathtub to offer me a motel until the work is done?? Any other suggestions to this feasco would be appreciated.

What does your lease say in regard to such repairs?

If the job simply involves tearing out the current wall covering, your ability to take a bath should not be impeded. Showers are out due to the good chance of water hitting the exposed wall.

As to your question regarding your landlord being required to put you up in a hotel/motel for this time period; nope. Landlord/tenant laws typically address things like heat, hot water, electricity, sanitary facilities (i.e., a toilet) but I've not seen one that specifically requires the provision of a bathtub or shower.
