Hi,

I was wondering what to do about a situation that I'm going through. I fixed a computer for a client and since she has not paid me for the services rendered. As a matter of fact she has been accusing me of rape and discriminating me in the process. What kind of lawyer or case do I have or need for this kind of situation that has already brough grief to my family, friends and neighbors?

Check in your state what is the max amount for a small claims court suit. If the repair falls below that, you can file a suit there. No attorney needed. Now, regarding the defamation of character, collect affidavits from your family, friends and neighbors to make the case in court stating how this client's comments have affected you and your business and have the judge decide if the amount you are requesting is reasonable. Now, keep in mind that the amount should be part of the small claims suit and should be added to the amount of the repair so the total amount of your suit should not exceed the max allowed in your state.
