wanted to get some advice before attempting to take my niece's father to small claims court. Basically I have a medical bill for his daughter (my niece), that came about durring the 7 months I had gaurdianship of her. Her father and stepmother did not want her and asked me to take her, of which I agreeded to do, then they went to court revoked the gaurdianship and took her back and at that time said they would take care of the last medical bill I had for her, but now they won't pay it. Can I take them to court and win, or am I stuck because she was with me durring the time the bill occured? Also, he never gave any money durring the time I had her to help care for her and was aware before giving her to me that she had some medical issues that needed to be addressed and did nothing about it when he had her.

Go to your state's state bar website and get information on small claims. Read it carefully.

We don't know if you will win.
