My husband and I helped a young lady on parole in 2 counties by paying one county completely off and $80 to the other county with the understanding (we have a contract to back it up) that she was to repay this $10 every pay period. She understood this was her debt and she was to pay for her wrong doings. She kind of brushed us off as far as repaying. We have not seen her since we have come back North. Before we left she had only paid $10 of the $281. She was supposed to put up the money while we were gone. We heard while we were gone that she may be put in jail for parole violation. She worked in a fast food restaurant and her wages weren't that great so that is the reason for such a small payment. We were wondering if she has not put up the money as she was supposed to, if there was a way we could garnish her wages until this was paid off. Thanks for any advice.

you need to sue her in small claims and get a judgement-- if you are talking about 300$ or so then you should chalk it up as a lesson learned --there are fee's plus you have to get her served to appear in court
