My truck started on fire in my driveway,the wind blew the smoke on my neighbors siding an he feels I should pay for the cleanup,what do you think?

the house is over a hundred yards away the wind blew the smoke through trees and I cant tell if itd damaged at all.The homeowner only gave me one quote of $643 to pressure wash one side of his house.

If you think your smoke didn't damage his house, ask him for proof. Before and after photos showing the damage would be good.
