I sold a car a month ago. I did not get my plates or any info on this person. It was a cash deal. He did not transfer the vehicle and I know this because I got a bill for the toll charges. The car is over a yr out of registration and not showing to be inspected. I checked with dmv. I filed the form for waiting on transfer of title but Im right at the 30 days. My only clue is the toll roads show where he gets on an exits. Do I have any recourse? Can I file something against the plates or a new title since he has not transferred it and there is no bill of sale?
