Someone owes me over 15 grand and signed contract

My wifes aunt owes me over 15 grand i had lent her for her bills and paying her workers. She had been paying me for 4 months and now no longer wants to pay back my money. She signed a paper of the money she still has left owed to me. What should i do? Do i need a lawyer and what type of laywer do I need?

What you should do depends on the small claims limit in your jurisdiction. (Where I am, 15K is still a small claims matter.) If you fit under the limit, sue in small claims. You can do that yourself. If you don't, sue her in regular court. You'll probably need a lawyer for that.
