Son name change

I filed a petition to change my son's last name. I have no idea where his father is. We have not seen him for 10 yrs. I have no address or family phone numbers. I need to file a proof of service but how if I do not know where he is. We were in FLorida at that time. We have lived in California for 10 yrs. My son is 11 yrs. What should I do know?

You will need to ask the court to allow you to serve him by publication or posting in the courthouse.
