FIRED 2 TIMES!! for same thing!Boss changed mind.
Hello,
If anyone out there can give me some Info or help I would really appreciate it.
Last Thursday I was wrote up at work for adjusting a thermostat on the heater in the area in which I work. When I did this a manager that shares this work area with me and 5 other hourly workers got mad and decided to right me up. When he issued me the right up he came back into my work area and started arguing with me about how he gets cold doing paper work and just kept on and on with his complaints. Long story short I had no clue he was getting ready to right me up at this moment because when people normally are wrote up they are called down to the Human resources office. So when he look at me with a smile like hahahaha and slap a paper down on my work bench turned around and walked into his work area I figured it was some kind of a warning. After he prvoked the hell out of me with all his comments and his evil smile I crumbled the paper and trashed it. Ill skip all the next details and just tell you by time I left work this day this manager and I had come to an agreement and he decided to end the right up.
When I got home that night my plant Manager heard about all this and decided to Suspend me pending investigation for termination. My union stewert talked with the plant manager and he decided he would drop that charge but he wanted to have a meeting with me The next day. I went to the meeting on friday, Listened to what he had to say, He shook the union Reps. hand and mine. Then he said he's glad this is over and that we all need to move on and get this all behind us. That this whole thing just snowballed way out of control. It was a pretty short meeting.
I had that following monday off work already because of a scheduled vacation day. So now im sitting at home on monday and I get a phone call from work and I am told that the plant manager did some more thinking about what had happen and now decided that I am now for the second time SUSPENDED PENDING INVESTIGATION FOR TERMINATION!!! I have to wait till my plant manager gets back into town sometime next week to see if im fired or not.
My question is how can he do this? Is this even Legal? If he does fire me and it goes to a arbitration hearing are my odds in my favor?
This is a brief History of me with my company. I am now 35 years old. I have been working for them for 15 years. I have never had any other right ups or been in any major trouble since with them. Im liked by all my co workers.
Please any info will be great.
