I'm 19 years old and I got a speeding ticket in Durham, NC. So I got pulled over on my motorcycle last month and the cop gave me a ticket for going 90 mph in a 55 mph zone. First off the cop tells me that he clocked me over 100 mph twice which is total bull because I never got above maybe 85 mph. Anyways, it's my first ticket ever and I'm pretty sure I want to hire a lawyer. What should I expect when I go to court at the end of this month? I've heard a lot about Prayer For Judgements and I wanted to know if this is one of those times where I could use this or should my lawyer be able to get it reduced to something reasonable. Can a lawyer get a 35 mph over reduced to 9 mph over? Any suggestions and comments are welcome.

This is not legal advice!

Hey,

Your Quote: "Any suggestions and comments are welcome."

Here is a comment that you may not like but it is a fact, if you hit someone a 30 miles an hour they have a 90% chance of living but if you hit someone at 40 miles an hour they have a 90% chance of never seeing the light of day again.

This is not me wagging my finger, just giving you a little food for thought. I have lost many friends over the years to bikes and cars, just be carefull because it is better to be 20 min's late than 25 years too early.

Good luck and stay safe.

Mark.
