I got a speeding ticket today in Locust NC. I was clocked at 57 in a 35 (speedtrap). I don't think I was going that fast but that's besides the point. I wasn't doing 35. I got another ticket on July 6th 2007 doing 55 in a 45. My lawyer got it reduced to improper equipment. I am worried that I will lose my license. Will I be able to get another improper equipment or is there a limit within a given timeframe. Is it possible to get the speed reduced? If I was going that fast it was only for a few seconds. I have been very conscious of my speed since the last ticket. Very bad timing. Very bad luck. What is my recourse at this point? Aside from becoming a housebound recluse. :( :( :(

If you feel you have enough on your driving record to lose your license for a while……..talk to a traffic lawyer. It usually runs from about 45$ to 100$. I can't tell you anything firm on your situation without all the record. Most counties have different ways of settling such cases and only a lawyer or person familiar with practices in that county can be most helpful. But if it is only your second time giving the first one was reduced to faulty equipment, you would be fine………… Your license would be okay.

this is a mandatory court appearance and license suspension. Go ahead and go in and talk to the prosecutor. He may be willing to reduce it to a nine over or possibly let you use your prayer for judgment.
