I got pulled over by an officer who says that he used the laser. I looked at the ticket and the calibrator is recent. But the thing is, I was not going 61. I noticed his lights at the red light. My destination is in that left turn. I am 20 years old and am a responsible college student who works hard in school and pays everything herself. I don't live with my parents and work Friday through Monday, about 30 hours a week and babysit for money after my school. For those who thinks this is impossible, its possible. My bf and I live together and he works third shift, 12 hours 5 days a week and also a college student. I have a record of three accidents. My first at 16 I was put at fault and the other two was not. This is my first speeding ticket. I'll pay the ticket because the whole point is collected for taxes and money towards polices, but I don't want the points. That'll raise my insurance a lot. Please help me, what can I say or do in court to let that points toward my insurance slide.

You might want to contact a traffic law attorney & see what he/she might be able to do for you.

If you have not taken a traffic school course in the past few years you may be able to do so now and keep the citation off your record.
Contact the court and find out if this is an option for you. They will tell you how to proceed, but it will also cost a little more.
