Hi, I could use some help. I received a speeding ticket in Fayetteville, NC for 79 in a 65. I want to ask the DA if I can plea down to 9 over or maybe ask the judge for a Prayer For Judgment Continuous. But before I can do that I have to answer (Guilty, Not Guilty, etc) when my name is called on the docket. Do I answer guilty and then ask for the lessor plea/PJC or do I answer not guilty and then ask for the lessor plea/PJC when my case is called before the judge?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Better to go by and try to talk to the prosecutor before your court date. That way you do not waste a day in traffic court. The clerk of court can give you his hours.

I called them and they do not address speeding tickets outside of court, therefor I have to appear in court to settle this so before I can ask for the plea, should I answer guilty or not guilty?
