I was pulled over the other day for going 110 in a 60 zone. I was speeding excessively, and don't deny I was speeding. I also did not have my driver's license on hand, the cop was nice enough to give me a break for not producing my drivers license. I asked how I would go about disputing the ticket as I did not believe I was going 110. The officer then told me that he would mention the fact that I did not produce my drivers license in court and that I might be fined for more if I disputed the ticket. He said it wasn't a threat but it pretty much is one. This is my first ticket and ultimately would want to take a driving course to get my way out of the ticket.
If I dispute the ticket, is it worth the chance of me being ticketed for not producing my drivers license?
If I dispute the ticket, and admit I was speeding, what are the chances of me being able to avoid the ticket by going to driving school?
