I got my first speeding ticket ever three weeks ago in Davidson County, NC. I was charged with 80 in 65 mph zone and an expired inspection sticker. I would like to represent myself since I have an excellent record and plead to have the expired inspection sticker dismissed since I got the inspection done right away. Also, I hope that I can have the charge reduced to improper equipment. I know that some counties are more likely to negotiate about the charges than others. Does anyone know about Davidson County in particular? Also, if they refuse to reduce my charge to improper equipment, can I ask for Prayer for Judgement then? Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it.
