I recently received a speeding ticket for going 73 in a 55 mph zone in Texas. The fine was $192. The ticket information is all correct except that the officer listed my Driver License as being from Texas. My license was issued in California, where I reside.

The ticket also gives me the option to plead "No Contest," in addition to the standard options of guilty and not guilty.

Does the ticket show up as a point on my California drivers license? Will they even be able to apply a point to my drivers license if they listed it as TX?

Thanks!

They can figure out very easy by running your name what state you are licensed in. The problem you face is that CA and Texas are both members of the DLC or Drivers license compact. Under this agreement the state of Tx will notifiy Ca so that points can be added to your license.
