I recently received a speeding ticket in NC where I reside. I was given a ticket citing 44 in a 35. I was told by the officer that since is is only 9 over the limit that this would not lead to any points on my license and that I could just pay the fine. Is this true about no points and should I pay the fine or get a lawer? Thanks!!
