Hi,

My son recieved a speeding ticket and the officer was using Vascar.

On the Ticket is the following info:
Miles Followed: 0.865
Miles Timed: 3.49
Sec. Timed: 89.1

It looks like the officer switched info for Miles timed with sec Timed. Based on his info on the ticket, he was traveling at 3.49 MPH instead of 89.1. What are the chances that this ticket will be thrown out in court.

Thanks!

They rarely dismiss those speeding citations. They simply move to amend their mistakes. The judge allows corrections because they aid in convictions.

Agree; when it's a minor error or an error that is an obvious "honest" error (which seems to be the case here), the ticket generally would not be dismissed. The error is just corrected.
