I recently moved to Madison,WI from New York and got a speeding ticket on driving at 70 at 55 limit. I currently have my old New York license and this New York license is there on the ticket. I am planning to pay the ticket.

I am planning to get a Wisconsin state license very soon. Will the points that I will get for this speeding on my NY license be refelcted on my new WI license and insurance? Also, what should be the timing for me to get WI license? Should I get my new WI license before or after the paying my ticket?

NY does not post out of state tickets to your record. If you show for court they will usually reduce the fine. I don't think the timing will have any bearing on this ticket since it is on your NY license.
