My girlfriend was recently cited for going 5 MPH over the speed limit. When I read her citation, I noticed that the officer also stated she was going 35 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. Would this considered grounds for a dismissal of the charges, or simply an officer giving her a break?

Also, the officer failed to write the associated court costs on the back of the citation. Is this commonplace? We cannot seem to find any information as to how much the ticket is actually for, but the box allowing prepayment without an appearance in court in clearly checked. Is this another potential reason for dismissal of her citation?

Thanks in advance.

Not a reason for dismissal and if this is Texas it is a no point violation. Call the clerk of court for the exact amount to pay.
