Speeding tx-1 court date/ 1 summons 2 dates

Recieved a spedding ticket in Ritzville (yes I know I should not speed there) recieved court date for Jan 22. Sent request for discovery and now I just recieved a summons to appear in court for a different date Feb 19th by the officer....do I go to first court date since this is what I recieved notice to do and play dumb that I recieved a summons.?....ask for a dismisal? They did not send it certified mail which I am under the impression is supose to take place with a summons...Please help

They might have updated their system per your request......so they might not be expecting you in Jan. Show up in Jan......the summon might not mean you don't need to show up. Show up and go from there...........take your chances. You might get your way.

Normally the date on your ticket is an arraignment where you can either negotiate or request a trial. Obviously you have requested a trial so you do not need to go to the arraignment. Have you requested a jury trial?
