So, I am a single lesbian who is seeking to have a child. I already have a sperm donor and we each agree that he will never seek custody of the child and that I will never ask for financial support but I am unsure as to how to go about this legally.

You really need to talk to an attorney that is familiar with this set up. Why don't you go through an anonymous sperm bank then all the legalities are done? If you are seeking to use a guy that you know, such an agreement between you 2 may not hold up. You really should talk to an attorney, maybe one that does a lot of same sex family law.
